Representational Life Drawing

Quick Studies of the
Clothed Figure
|
Gesture, movement, size, shape and form, the traditional methods of life drawing will be the focus of this class. Both short and long poses will help you master these approaches to drawing the figure from live models. Work in charcoal, pencil, chalk and pastel. A fee models will be collected at the first session.

This class will teach you techniques to rapidly get your subject onto paper. You will learn strategies for sketching a moving subject, gestures, and clothing. Poses will gradually become longer allowing for exploration of different media, including paint. No previous experience necessary.

Discover the beautiful alla prima technique of oil painting. Work from still life under the constant guidance of an experienced instructor of Renaissance technique.
